Sub.: Invitation to participate in UNDP City Level workshops in Ahmedabad & Coimbatore – reg.

Dear Sirs/Madam,

This is to inform you that two workshops, “Creating Inclusion in the Workplace for Persons with Disabilities,” being organised by UNDP, DEOC, and CII-IBDN in Ahmedabad and Coimbatore,

The workshop in Ahmedabad is scheduled to take place on Friday, 17th January 2025 at Lemon Tree Hotel, Khanpur.

The workshop in Coimbatore on Saturday, 25th January 2024 at Vivanta Coimbatore, 105, Racecourse Road.

These full-day workshops (9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) aims to not only raise awareness about disability but also provide participants with practical skills to implement inclusive practices in their workplaces. Through this workshop, participants will:

•  Gain an understanding of disability: Explore what disability is, including various types of impairments, and learn about appropriate terminology and etiquette for effectively and respectfully interacting with persons with disabilities
• Understand relevant legal requirements: Gain insights into legal obligations for the private sector.
• Explore the business case for inclusion: Discover how inclusive workplaces drive innovation, improve employee engagement, enhance organizational reputation, and unlock access to a broader talent pool.
• Learn how to foster accessibility and inclusion: Understand how to recruit and build an inclusive organizational culture that supports everyone.
• Develop a roadmap for creating an inclusive workplace: Create actionable strategies to implement inclusion effectively.

The workshop will feature interactive sessions, including group activities, to help participants apply the concepts learned.

Interested members are requested to participate or nominate a suitable representative to attend. There is no fee to attend this event.
