Dear Sirs/Madam,
This is to inform you that the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has issued Trade Notice No. 32/2025-26 dated 6 March 2026 regarding the launch of “Support for Emerging Export Opportunities” under the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) – NIRYAT PROTSAHAN.
The initiative aims to enhance global trade connectivity and improve access to trade finance for exporters, particularly MSMEs engaged in international value chains, by facilitating exports to under-served and high-potential markets.
Under this intervention:
- Risk-sharing support backed by the Government of India will be provided through EXIM Bank to facilitate trade finance for exports.
- The scheme will help MSMEs access non-recourse trade finance instruments through banks for export transactions.
- It will also strengthen partnerships between Indian banks and overseas banks, thereby improving settlement confidence and liquidity in emerging markets.
Eligible exporters (MSMEs with valid IEC and Udyam Registration) may apply through the DGFT portal to generate a Unique Identification Number (UIN) and approach participating banks to avail support under the scheme.
The intervention will initially be implemented on a pilot basis, and stakeholders have been invited to submit comments and suggestions on the guidelines within 30 days of the issuance of the Trade Notice.
The detailed Trade Notice and guidelines are attached for reference. Click here
Members are advised to take note of this new initiative aimed at facilitating exports to emerging markets.
Best Regards,
Chandrima Chatterjee
Secretary General
