Greetings from the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI)!

The Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is planning a high-level delegation visit to Italy from 2–5 November 2026, led by the Secretary (Textiles), in the context of the India–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the textile and apparel sector and explore opportunities for enhanced trade, investment and technology collaboration.

In this regard, CITI invites interested member companies to express their interest in participating in the proposed delegation and its business engagements in Italy.

The visit is expected to provide an important platform to:

• Explore opportunities to enhance Indian textile and apparel exports to Italy and the wider European Union market.
• Engage with leading Italian textile and apparel companies, brands, retailers and industry associations.
• Discuss market access, tariff-related issues, rules of origin and regulatory requirements under the India–EU FTA.
• Explore opportunities for joint ventures, investment, technology transfer and innovation.
• Strengthen sourcing partnerships and business-to-business cooperation between Indian and Italian textile industry stakeholders.

Members interested in participating are requested to share their interest with CITI at the earliest, so that the Ministry may be apprised of the industry’s participation requirements and relevant business priorities.

Please note that the proposed visit is subject to final confirmation of the programme and participation arrangements by the Ministry of Textiles. Further details regarding the itinerary, participation and travel arrangements will be communicated as they become available.
