- No. wise salient features of the documents which may require specific attention for
valuable comments of members are as below:
- This standard prescribes the requirements for nettings made of fibre ropes or cords or of woven webbings, and for fibre rope lashings used in load restraint systems for road, rail, and water transport.
- This standard prescribes the requirements of the following types of tarred ropes: a) Hawser-laid (three-strand) tarred sisal ropes of diameter 8 mm to 129 mm and with a linear density from 64 ktex to 14 100 tex. b) Cable-laid (nine-strand) tarred sisal ropes of diameter 48 mm to 145 mm and with a linear density from 1 859 tex to 16 909 tex.
- This standard prescribes the requirements of two varieties of braided cotton cord. The 2 mm diameter cord is suitable for lacing of sleeping bags and avalanche cord, and 4 mm diameter cord is suitable for crash helmets for motorcycle riders.
- This standard examines the causes responsible for damage of fiber ropes and suggests measures for their care and safe use.
- This standard prescribes requirements for two varieties of plain twisted and braided polyamide cords for use commonly in ammunition stores and packaging.
- This standard prescribes the requirements of HDPE monofilament twine door nets used for preventing birds from entering the grain storage.
- 1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements and the methods of sampling and test for SUTLI made out of polypropylene (PP). 1.2 This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations and types of equipment. It does not purport to address all of the safety problems associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
Members are requested to kindly examine the documents and submit your comments before the last date as given against each standard in the prescribed format is given on the portal so that the same can be taken up with the Sectional Committee for necessary action.
