Subject: Webinar on “Sustainability Reporting Frameworks

Dear Sirs/Madam,

The global world is moving very fast towards structured ESG reporting

The SEBI circular dated 12th July 2023 requires the top 150 listed companies by Market Capitalization to:

-report on ESG as per BRSR Core framework,

-have the report assured and

-make disclosures for upstream and downstream value chain partners that account for 50% of the cumulative purchases/ sales w.e.f. current financial year.

While the Top 250 will need to comply from FY 2024-25 and the next 750 by 2026-27, these requirements are bound to percolate down further.

RBI’s recent guidelines on green deposits, disclosures on climate-related risks, and climate scenario analysis are also indicative of ESG taking center stage while making key investment and business decisions globally .

India’s textile value chain will have to face both – the global buyer’s data requirements as part of their supply chain as also from the Indian listed companies they may be working with, to meet their disclosure needs.

To learn more about these reporting requirements join the next CITI ESG series webinar titled “Sustainability Reporting Frameworks” on the 18th of August 2023 from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
