Dear Sirs/Madam,

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) vide trade notice number 20/2025-26 dated 2^nd January 2025 has launched an Interest Subvention Scheme for Pre- and Post-Shipment Export Credit under the Export Promotion Mission – Niryat Prothsahan.

The intervention is being operationalised through the Reserve Bank of India on a pilot basis. Salient features for exporters include:

• The rate of interest subvention @ 2.75 % per annum will be available on Pre Shipment Rupee Export Credit and Post Shipment Rupee Export Credit for Micro, Small Enterprises, and Medium Enterprises;
• An MSME exporter may receive a maximum subvention benefit of Rs 50 lakh per financial year.
• Support limited to export credit extended by lending institutions in accordance with the Reserve Bank of India’s Master Directions on Pre- and Post-Shipment Export Credit;
• Applicability to MSME manufacturer exporters and merchant exporters under the notified positive list of HSN six-digit tariff lines. The list of 728 eligible Textile & Apparel products is attached as Annex 1. Click Here

Under the scheme the interest subvention shall be passed on upfront to the eligible MSME exporter by the lending institution, and the corresponding reimbursement shall be claimed by the lending institution from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as per operational procedures notified from time to time.

CITI has also identified list of 200 T&A related HSN codes at 6 digit level (Annex 2) which have been left from the scope of the scheme and is planning to request for their inclusion in the scheme. If any member has any other input/suggestion related to the scheme, it is requested to share the same by 15^th January 2026 to enable CITI to represent the same to the concerned department.
