Sub.: Request to facilitate on-boarding of Chemical and Petrochemical Industries on ChemIndia Portal – reg.

It is to inform that the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DoCPC), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has launched a web based portal namely, ChemIndia (https://chemindia.chemicals.gov.in/) which will facilitate collection of statistics related to various aspects of the chemical sector, such as Description of Chemicals, Production, Installed Capacity, Export, Import, Purchases and Sales of Chemical and Petrochemical Industries.

DoCPC has recently conducted a meeting of the industry associations to sensitize about the portal “ChemIndia”. During the meeting, the Chemical and Petrochemicals Industry was requested to fill the maximum data on the website while other related Industry has been requested to use the data available on the portal for their production planning.

DoCPC has assured that the data of each and every company will be kept highly confidential and only aggregated data of the industry will be displayed on the portal under different data headers.

Members are therefore requested to kindly disseminate the above information to their respective suppliers of Chemical or Petrochemical products (being used in the textile value chain) as also encourage them to register themselves on the portal and fill in the appropriate data (products, capacity, production, etc.).
