Dear Sirs/Madam,

This is in reference to Public Notice No. 27/2024-25 – Customs, dated 23rd October 2024, wherein the Department of Commerce notified the procedure for filing the Annual RoDTEP Return (ARR) for exporters whose RoDTEP claims exceed ₹1 crore in a financial year across all 8-digit HS codes.

As per the original notification, the deadline for filing the ARR was 31st March 2025, with a grace period of three months available after payment of a penalty of ₹10,000/-.

CITI discussed the issues flagged by the industry members in filing of return with the DGFT office. Additionally, CITI organized a webinar to guide and facilitate members in navigating the filing requirements effectively.

It may kindly be noted that the DGFT vide Public Notice no. 51/2024-25 has now extended the last date for filing of ARR for RoDTEP availed for exports of financial year 2023-24 by three months i.e. from 31^st March 2025 to 30^th June 2025. Consequently, the applicable grace period is also extended from 30^th June 2025 to 30^th September 2025.
