Dear Sirs/Madam,

This is to inform the members that during the current cotton season, the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) has procured approximately 105 lakh bales of cotton under MSP operations, out of which around 45 lakh bales have already been sold. CCI is expected to liquidate the remaining stock of approximately 70 lakh bales by 31^st July 2026.

In this regard, CITI, along with Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), has taken up the matter with the Ministry to facilitate the sale of cotton stock exclusively to actual users, particularly spinning mills. Accordingly, it has been advised to submit a State-wise fortnightly cotton requirement of spinning mills to enable CCI to appropriately reserve the MSP cotton stock for direct sale to actual users.

It may be noted that CCI may reserve cotton for direct purchase only for those mills that participate in this survey. Last date for submitting your purchase requirements is 20^th April 2026.

Further, it may also be noted that CITI and SIMA shall be organizing capacity building workshops for mills to facilitate their participation in and effective utilization of CCI’s e-auction procurement mechanism. The exact date and venue shall be communicated shortly once finalized in consultation with CCI.
