Dear Sirs/Madam,
This has reference to our earlier circular regarding the impact assessment survey of the imposition of an additional ad valorem duty of 50% on Indian goods, including Textile & Apparel (T&A) products, by USA. The key findings of the first round of the Impact Assessment Survey are attached for your reference.
Based on the responses received and further developments, CITI is undertaking a second round of the Impact Assessment Survey to capture updated feedback, emerging challenges, the evolving impact of the US tariff measures as also information on the market diversification:
The objective of this follow-up survey is to:
- Assess the continuing impact on exports, order flows, pricing, and competitiveness;
- Understand market responses, including order deferments, cancellations, or diversification; and
- Strengthen CITI’s evidence-based representation to the Government with more comprehensive and current industry data.
Members are requested to kindly fill in the survey form at the following link: https://forms.gle/dKn6KHY9Lgvaqj6h9
We assure you that all responses will be kept strictly confidential, and only aggregated findings will be used for policy advocacy with the Government.
Your continued participation is crucial in ensuring that the industry’s concerns are accurately reflected and effectively addressed at the policy level.
It is requested to kindly submit your responses latest by 28th December 2025.
Placed for your information and necessary action.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
