Sub.: Extension in implementation date of certain QCOs on Polyester Yarns – reg.

 

Dear Sirs/Madam,

 

As per the gazette notification dated 17^th July 2023 issued by Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, it has been notified that the implementation date of the below given Quality Control Orders (QCOs) have been extended till 5^th October 2023 which were earlier scheduled to be implemented from 3^rd July 2023.

• Polyester Continuous Filament Fully Drawn Yarn, IS 17261:2019
• Polyester Partially Oriented Yarn, IS 17262:2019
• 100% Polyester Spun Grey and White Yarn, IS: 17265:2019

It may kindly be noted that there is no change in the implementation date of the Polyester Industrial Yarn (PIY) Quality Control Order. However, the same is NOT applicable to yarns less than 500 (five hundred) deniers.

The official gazette is attached for the reference of the respected members. Members are requested to take note of the above extensions and apply for obtaining the necessary BIS certification within the given time frame.
