Dear Sir/Madam,

As you are aware that CITI is taking a Textile CEOs delegation to ITMA’23, Milan, Italy.

As a precursor to the ITMA’23, Invest India is organising a B2B session “Italy meets India – Focus on Textile Machinery” on CDP Business Matching Platform (Online Seminar) on 29 May 2023 at 3:30 pm (Indian time) and has invited CITI Members to participate in this virtual event.

This virtual B2B event organised on 29 May 2023 on behalf of Embassy of Italy, New Delhi, Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) in collaboration with the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Italy (ICCI) under Access India Initiative will feature keynote speakers who will give insights on the Textile Machinery Industry in India and discuss the latest technological advancements and business trends on the market, alongside serving as an opportunity for machinery companies from both, Italy & India to interact with each other before they meet physically during ITMA 2023.

 

A SOI between Embassy of Italy and the Ministry of Textiles was exchanged when PM Modi visited Rome for G20 in 2021 where collaboration in textiles, textiles machinery and fashion was envisaged. Textiles was also an area identified for collaboration between the two sides under the JCEC framework led by HCIM and his counterpart- the next meeting for which is scheduled in September 2023. In this light, Invest India was selected to become the de facto knowledge partner for the Access India initiative which is a dedicated program funded by DPIIT to enable market access support to SMEs and mid-market companies in Italy looking to explore India as a potential investment and trade destination.
