Sub.: Invite for awareness program on MSME Competitive (LEAN) Scheme – MCLS on 11th April 2023 at Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu – reg.

 

Dear Sirs/Madam,

 

As domestic & global competitiveness becomes intensive, there is a need for MSMEs to transition to a new business environment especially with the disruption in the global supply chains and convergence of multiple sourcing as a methodology in vendor development. MSMEs form an integral part of almost every value chain and there is a symbiotic relationship between the large corporations and relatively small sized suppliers.

Recognizing the importance of overall economic growth of the country and the need for enhancing its productivity, competitiveness and employment generation besides resource optimization, the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Government of India, has launched the MSME Competitive (LEAN) Scheme – MCLS for MSMEs with an objective to enhance their productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness by reduction of wastages in processes, inventory management, space management, energy consumption, etc.

To support MSMEs, the government will contribute 90% of implementation cost for handholding and consultancy fees. There will be an additional contribution of 5% for the MSMEs which are part of SFURTI clusters, owned by women/SC/ST and located in NER. In addition to the above, there will be an additional contribution of 5% for MSMEs registering through Industry Associations/Overall Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) organizations after completing all levels.

To create more awareness on Lean Management for the Textile and Apparel units, CITI and Tiruppur Exporters’ Association (TEA) has partnered with Association for Promotion of Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (APCRE) and Quality Council of India (QCI) to invite you for an awareness program on MSME Competitive (LEAN) Scheme for the Textile and Apparel units on 11^th April 2023 between 3:15 pm to 6:30 pm in Poppys Vista Hotel, Thirumurugan Poondi, Avinashi Road, Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu (flier attached).
