Sub: Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Cotton varieties for Cotton Season 2022-23 – reg.

This is to inform that the Office of the Textile Commissioner vide Order No. 1/20/2022-23/MSP/Cotton/273-326 dated 29.08.2022, has informed that the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare has fixed the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of two basic varieties of cotton viz. Medium Staple Cotton having Staple Length of 24.5 to 25.5 mm with micronaire value of 4.3 to 5.1 and Long Staple Cotton having Staple Length of 29.5 to 30.5 with micronaire value of 3.5 to 4.3 of new crop of seed cotton (Kapas) of Fair Average Quality (FAQ) for Cotton Season 2022-23.

The MSP of Medium Staple Cotton and Long Staple Cotton have now been fixed at Rs.6,080/- (earlier Rs.5,726/-) per quintal and Rs. 6,380/- (earlier Rs.6,025/-) per quintal, respectively.
