Sub.: Time Extension of upto 2^nd July 2023 to implement the Quality Control Orders of FDY, POY, IDY and PSY – reg.

 

This is in reference to the Central Government order dated 29th September 2022 to amend the Quality Control Orders 2022 for Polyester Fibre and Yarn by fixing 3rd April 2023 as the implementation date.

CITI received a number of requests from its members citing that there are several suppliers of these products whose certifications are pending with BIS and the implementation of these QCO from 3rd April 2023 will disturb their entire production planning. Accordingly, CITI took up the matter with the concerned ministries and based upon the representation of CITI and also various other industry bodies and associations, now the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals has given the extension for the above-mentioned Quality Control Orders (QCOs) upto 2nd July 2023 except for polyester staple fibre vide its Gazetted Notification dated 31st March 2023 and the QCOs will be effective from 3rd July 2023.
