Sub.: Virtual Consultation Meeting on suggestions for PLI 2.0  and alternatives to the ATUF scheme on 26,05,2022 at 3.00 PM – reg.

Dear Sirs/Madam,

This is in continuation to our Circular No. Cir(067)/2022 dated May 20, 2022 where the highlights of Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI 1.0) and some of the areas where suggestions were invited from stakeholders were shared. We are thankful for the inputs received for the same and look forward for your participation in tomorrow’s consultative VC to discuss this further.

We also plan to discuss the new TUFS Scheme on this occasion. It may be noted that the Ministry of Textiles is exploring an Incentive based alternative scheme to replace ATUF Scheme that has ended on 31st March, 2022. It has been proposed that suggestions on an incentive-based scheme in place of the earlier subsidy-based scheme may be explored.

It may be noted that the Ministry of Textiles earlier proposed Textile Technology Development Scheme (TTDS) as a new scheme to replace with ATUFS from 01.04.2022. The proposed TTDS was like earlier subsidy based ATUF Scheme. However now Ministry is exploring a new mechanism which can also benefit MSMEs. In this context, we seek your inputs for incentivising new technology in Textile Value chain.

To discuss PLI 2.0 and above indicated alternatives to the earlier ATUF scheme, we are holding a virtual consultation meeting as per the following details:
