Announcement of MSP for different classes of cotton – reg.

As members are aware that the Union Cabinet chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi increased the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Cotton for both Medium and Long Staple Cotton by Rs 501 per quintal for 2024-25 as compared to 2023-24 to reach Rs 7,121 and Rs 7,521 per quintal respectively.

Based on the above revision and taking into consideration the quality differential, normal price differential, and other relevant factors, the Office of Textile Commissioner vide its office order no. 1/20/2024-25/MSP/Cotton/38-91 dated 29^th July 2024 has now announced the support prices for other classes of seed cotton of fair average quality.

The MSP of different varieties are announced in the range of Rs 6,621 per quintal for short staple to Rs 8,721 per quintal for Extra Long Staple cotton.
